Food waste is an urgent environmental and social issue and Aldi is committed to making a difference. Since 2017, we have reduced our food waste (intensity) by a whopping 57% and are now making a massive commitment to reduce it to 90% by 2030. Not only do we offer discounts of up to 75% on products reaching their shelf life, but we have also been working with Too Good To Go since the beginning of 2023 across all of our stores. Tips on reducing food waste: Check what you have in and make a list before you go shopping. Batch cook and freeze in portion sizes as well as freezing leftovers to avoid waste. Get clued up on food dates. Food past its use-by date should not be eaten unless you have frozen it. Best before dates can

still be eaten after the date passes. Use leftover meat bones and veggie peelings to make a stock. Organise a shelf on your fridge for items going out of date soon. Set your fridge to below 5° to prolong the life of milk and other items for up to 3 days. Compost kitchen scraps to feed your home-grown veg.
